How it works

Three pieces. One conversation.

Owlka runs Claude on your Mac, talks to your iPhone through an encrypted middleman, and keeps the work on your own machine.

  1. Live

    iOSWebAPI
    STEP 01

    Your Claude on your Mac.

Owlka runs on your Mac. It launches the official Claude app under your own Anthropic login and keeps your code, your memory, and your work on your own machine. Nothing about your project lives on our servers.

  2. + def watch():
    + poll(url)
    - sleep(60)
    + backoff()

    STEP 02

An encrypted middleman that can't read your messages.

Your phone and your Mac talk through an encrypted middleman. We pass sealed messages back and forth. We can't open them. Only your phone and your Mac hold the keys, so the conversation stays between you and your Claude.

  3. STEP 03

    Your iPhone, your conversation.

The Owlka iPhone app is the front seat. Talk by voice or type. Watch what Claude is doing live. Approve a change, kick off a build, or pause it from the sofa. Same conversation on every paired phone.

What people built

Real products, shipped from a phone.

Every one of these was built with Owlka by someone who is not a developer. No laptop required.

Education

An Ofsted-grade governors app

A school governor built a private assistant for their primary school. It reads the school's own data alongside the latest Ofsted framework, drafts evidence-grade answers for inspection prep, and lets the governing body rehearse the real questions before they're asked.

Cuts inspection prep from weeks to an afternoon.

Governor Question
What are the key functions governors must fulfil, and how are we evidencing the disadvantaged-pupil gap?
Answer · Sonnet (balanced)
  • Strategic direction — set vision, ethos, and three-year priorities (Oracy, Writing, PPG gap, Attendance, Budget).
  • Hold leaders to account — executive head reports termly; named link governors lead PPG, SEND, safeguarding.
  • Oversee financial probity — PPG allocation tracked against impact on FSM readers.

Live 3D-printer command centre

A maker runs a small print farm from a garage. They built a native iOS app that talks to Klipper over the home network, streams the toolhead, watches temperature curves, and pauses the print before a bad layer becomes a fire. Notifications when something needs a human.

Saved 14 prints in the first month.

Dragon Maze, an indie iOS game

A parent and their young child built a tile-shifting maze game together. The child sketched the dragons; the parent asked Owlka for a game to wrap them in, with daily seeds, leaderboards, and Game Center sync. They designed, built, signed, and submitted it to TestFlight without ever opening Xcode.

Shipped a public beta in 11 evenings.

Why Owlka

The power of Claude, with the rough edges sanded off.

Claude on its own is brilliant and a bit reckless. Owlka adds the memory, the reviewers, and the safety net that let you hand it real work without needing to be a developer.

Persistent cross-session memory

Owlka remembers what you're building across days, weeks, and reinstalls. Memory lives on your Mac, not on our servers. Resume any project with one sentence.

Automated code reviewers

Every change is challenged by a reviewer agent before it lands. Catches the bugs you would never have seen.

Guardrails before risky actions

Risky actions pause and ask first, explained in plain English so you know what you're allowing before you tap. It's not foolproof, but it makes an accidental mess far less likely.
